So I honestly have never really given this much thought. it seems when the topic does inadvertently cross my eyes, i see an image like this, and just think BOOOOORRRING! NEVAR!
Apartment Therapy has a pretty good series of articles on capsule wardrobes; I especially like the "how to" but the other articles in the series are good too. I'm cheating a little bc my first capsule wardrobe will be for the summer, when I don't have to dress professionally EVER (so I don't have to worry about work vs casual.

OMG, and like half your post was missing when I viewed this on my phone. Ugh. LJ: get your app together!
So my thing with the capsule is I'm going to try, like they talk about on Apartment Therapy, to divide my wardrobe into seasons and then get to a point where each season I can keep paring down and decide if I need anything new.
I also appreciate your "lessist, not minimalist" approach. I also don't think I'm ever going to become a minimalist, but I definitely want to be a lessist!
Aaaaand now that I can read your full post, I'm looking at the Devastate Boredom posts and loving them! I might try a combo of Apartment Therapy and Devastate Boredom. I like that the Devastate Boredom doesn't force a specific number for each category.
