☆ Character: Axel
☆ Series: Kingdom Hearts II
☆ Character Age: Late teens (18 or so)
☆ Special Abilities/Powers: Organization Member Number VIII, a fire elemental specialist. Maybe he can even be a pyromaniac. Besides the use of fire and flame, he wields a pair of specially-designed chakrams to throw around. He is very skilled with these, but he does have his limits; Axel is known to be beaten fairly easy over the course of time, but he does have the gall to continue afterward. He also has the power to summon Assassin-type nobodies to do his bidding whenever times become tough and the odds are literally against him. Hacking into programs are also a part of his list, seeing how he could go into a virtual world without many problems. And dark portals to cheat his way through travel. And he's also really good at backstabbing whoever he works with, no matter what side they are on.
☆ Timeline: Somewhere in the middle of KHII, on the run from the Organization
☆ Character's Personality: The Nobody is known to be laid back about things, going along with the Organization's plans and just mainly taking up space. Being a Nobody, he has no real emotions; the imitation of these feelings, however, is just as convincing. He's rather sociable whenever it is needed, and he'll mainly talk through certain topics before resorting to violence. Of course, this is not always the case. He does hold an air of indifference as he goes along being 'friendly,' but it does waver whenever he does try caring about the situation at hand. Axel can also be a dork at times, an ability that helps balance out his amount of awesome.
☆ Character's Background: Ever since the Organization came into being, Axel was set as one of the later members for his strength and will against being an ordinary nobody. How he earned his number is unknown; it probably came from being found early on and also including his skills as a fighter. From here, he was sent to work with some of the other members in Castle Oblivion to 'check' on the keyblade user's progress. Of course, operations during that time didn't run as smoothly as it could have, seeing how two different factions formed within the structure due to differing ideas and standards. Axel just went back and forth as an agent to both, getting and giving information to see how far they could get. The others only realized his traitorous ways too late, their plans crumbling as Sora and his crew added to their defeat.
Simultaneously, Axel had been hanging out with the newest member of the group, Roxas. It was something of a friendship, technically speaking, but it all came to an end when Roxas wasn't satisfied with not knowing his own past. Axel never had a problem with that, and to see his friend leave was upsetting. It was only a matter of time before Xemnas would send him to go find Number XIII for specific Organization purposes (the Kingdom Hearts project). Trying to convince a memory-wiped Roxas back into the Organization proved to be a trick, each of those seven days bringing impatience and pressure from the superiors. On the final day, he did fight Roxas, even if the kid did remember him after all the time taken to get to that point. It was too late, and Axel wasn't going to go easy on him. Unfortunately, that battle was lost on his part, leaving Roxas to go on ahead. Number VIII then decided to run for it, being labeled as a traitor yet again and no longer of use to the rest of the Organization. He was still continuing to live in this manner, surviving as long as he could.
☆ Third Person Sample: Another attack. Flame and dark particles swirled, the chakrams forming out of thin air and hurled at the enemy without a second thought. The Nobody gasped, gritting his teeth as another dusk came at him, twirling and hitting him easily. Although they didn't do much damage, it still hurt. "BURN!!" Axel cried, sending pillars of flame up and around him to open up some breathing space. The lesser nobodies writhed and spun, darting everywhere, several of them dispersing once they met the fire.
He was getting tired. All of the running didn't help his situation, and he only had so much energy left. Nobodies couldn't last forever, apparently.
It was moments like these that brought about unnecessary thoughts.
Why did he join the Organization? Why did he go along with it? What was so important about getting hearts and becoming whole again...when he came from someone whole in the first place? Will he always be a traitor? "Shut up," he said to no one in particular, more flames shooting up from the molten ground beneath him. If this was the way it turned out, then he was fine with it. No more. No more following orders, none. So what if he had to keep running? He'll show them. There would be a time when their authority didn't matter. The Organization was failing.
A gloved hand gripped one of the returning chakrams, flinging it out to his side to clear a path. While missing some of the white, swarming bodies, Axel fled, his chest heaving from the extra exertion. "Gotta get out of here," he told himself, his hand whipping out in front of him to open a dark portal. As it appeared, he practically threw himself into it. He then forced an early closure to keep from being followed, the dusks flying at it seen briefly before everything went black.
☆ First Person Sample: I have to admit, it was interesting while it lasted. Unfortunately, not everything goes according to plan, especially when you have crazy little kids with keyblades ruining part of the fun. That and having someone else going behind your back while things are playing out. Hey, I did it to make it more interesting. For me, anyway. Doing all of this 'business' stuff gets really old real quick. I don't know, I think it's sort of pointless to try coaxing Roxas back into the Organization. He barely remembered me. That sucks. All of those good times sitting up there, eating that gross stuff, what was it - sea salt ice cream. Not very appetizing to me, but whatever. Talking, laughing, thinking....man. Not like I need it.
Anyway....that's all past, now. And since that Sora kid is now going about worlds and doing justice to them, I might as well try something else. Me, working against the Superiors? Yeah, nothing new. Now...where was that girl....
