Monday Night Makeup Post

After the crazy weekend i get a chance to actually take my time and do some neat work. When i have a ton of people waiting to get into the makeup chair it seriously stresses me out. Me and my coworkers(not to mention friends) both get slammed from the moment that we get in the door to the minute we leave. Monday night is never usually too bad. I ( Read more... )

Thank you for sharing your experience with the new colors/products. As I work more on makeup I'll be trying to do the same.

What do you use as a mixing medium for the Kryolan? I've been pretty pleased with a spritz-bottle of water myself. (Though I wonder if maybe something with a bit of glycerine might be more "workable")

Another Kryolan thought: They have "BIC" or Body Illustration Colors that are alcohol activated rather than water. Could be useful if sweat ever proves a problem for the girls.

Ive been using a drop or two of MAC's Mixing medium in water base. it seems to do the trick but now that you mention it something with glycerine sounds like it might be perfect. I did try to use the mixing medium on Kryolans metallic silver and it didnt seem to do anything. I am wondering if i need to let it oxidize a little as its seems too fresh and new. almost as if water or mixing medium isnt affecting it.

:O amazing!! You should really consider to have a professional website with all your work with all of those amazing pictures..true artist..

I feel that it would be kind of rude not to introduce myself to ya, since you have been so kind to share with us your background and some experiences..

I´m Isabel, 29 from Lisbon/Portugal, I have a college degree on marketing managment and that´s about what i do in my 5-9 job..as far as make up goes i´m just starting to be an amateur..its just a long passion and a hobby, i´ve recently decided to stop studying boring things and take a deeper step on make up skills, i´m currently taking a course on Makeup Forever school here in Lisbon and i´m having a great time with it..although i have never expected that make up could be so complex and even difficult, so now i have a better understanding of it and also appreciate your and others work properly!

Hopefully i didnt bore you readers too much -> not at all!
We´ll keep in touch!

Cosmetology school. Worked in a platinum scissor salon for 2 years coloring was my specialty. Came to realize that i wasnt happy. My bib sis won a beauty pageant where i got to travel with her all across the state. Made a gown for her to wear at the national. Wore it and got lots of recognition for it. Handed out cards and got a huge response. Had girls from all over flying to Philly to get fitted and to get custom made gowns for thier state prelim. pageants. Paid for a 1/4 of my college education with that money. Unfortunetly i am not using my college education whatsoever. I got a bachelors of business in CIS. I can honestly say that having worked in that field was monetarily rewarding but mentally draining. Ive done web development, network administration, and graphic arts. After 911 that all stopped... the rest is history.
