I just ordered a bunch of Pure Luxe samples on your suggestion. They look amazing, so hopefully they come out good. I think I'm going to have to start wearing all my shadows wet, dry they don't have enough impact. MAC put out this new water-based mixing medium; what do you think, should I bother or do you have another suggestion for getting wet eyeshadow?

MAC's waterbased mixing medium is ok. i usually take a tiny drop to my left hand (topside when my hand is curled up into a fist and with the brush i take an ample amount of pigment/shadow and swirl it into the medium. the powder shoudl be greater than the drop of medium. It should make a sort of paste. Now work fast and pack on the dry powder and blend. Its tricky at first and you want to make sure its dry before you start blinking ect. Did you get "check me out"? What a color!

No! I'm such a moron, I only saw the first page of stuff so I ordered:
White Diamonds, Carnivale, Sassy, Lilac Ice, Carousel, Brat, Hipnotic, Romance, Miss Understood, Blue Jeans, and Blue, Golden, Turquoise and Opal Aura. After I placed my order THEN I went to a couple other pages and found about 65 other colors I wanted. Damn, I was SO mad, but oh well, I'll try these ones first. I've heard that Visine works the same as the mixing medium, is that true? Is there anything better, in your opinion?

Ive seen the mixing medium do good things and bad things. Its just finding one that your pleased with. I personally swear by MAC's nude Cream color base (MAC PRO item). Apply it to the entire lid, pack down the shadow and blend.
