Add me? yonaelka January 23 2006, 14:46:48 UTC
So here's the thing. I'm a makeup artistry student in London who, despite a deep seated desire to continue living in the UK, is slowly realizing that financially, it may not be a possibility and I might have to come home after this year. So now, I'm trying to make all the professional makeup artist acquaintances I can. It seems to me that you're more fashion, and I want to go into prosthetics, but knowing anyone is a good thing. Please add me back?

Okay; it's pretty simple.

For LJ-cuts: (lj-cut text="whatever you want to say here"). Just replace the ('s with <'s. To end an LJ-cut, (/lj-cut). Same rule about replacing the parentheses.

As far as adding me as a friend: Go to "Friends" (should be somewhere under "Manage"). Click "edit friends", and it'll bring up a list of people who have added you. Next to their names is a column of boxes, entitled "Add Friend." Click the box with my name, then scroll down and click "save changes." Easy peasy.

Welcome to LiveJournal! I like the way you've written about your work and decided to add you as a friend. (I also prefer to tell people I've done so, thus the comment.)

I'm a new-ish makeup artist out of California but living in France at the moment.

Ahhh France. I love France. I got a chance to go twice. Once for 2 weeks (1 week working) the other siteseeing. The other purely siteseeing. I can honestly say that i would go again. The shopping is incredible and not too bad on the budget in comparison to shopping here in the US. Ive added you as a friend as well. Nice meeting you.

i have a question about false eyelashes (im asking you cause i love you lol) i tried to put some on, i got eyelash glue and i let it sit for a minute (im told it gets glue-ier if you let it sit a minute) but i think the lashes are too long for my eyes, is it ok to cut them or will the fall apart (completely inept at lashes) and i cant get them to sit right on my lashes :___: im probably jsut doing it all kinds of wrong lol ^^;;
<3 thanks

I have my own system of gluing on false eye lashes. First understand that me doing lashes on someone is different than doing lashes on myself. For yourself id recommend sitting down at a table and placing either a compact mirror or a cosmetic mirror on the table facing upward. then look down at the mirror and try appling that way. This tric works because you view your lashes at a 45% angle. Yes you want to cut your false eye lash to fit the span of your eye. This is a learning process. If you are still stuck let me know.
