WorldCon, DragonCon, the Hugos, and what not

This past weekend moonsinger and I got to go to WorldCon (aka LonestarCon 3) in San Antonio.  We had last attended WordlCon in 1997 when it was last in San Antonio.  Due to expense and having our special needs seven year old with us, we decided to only do one day and not purchase a full membership.  I was extremely worried about how Alastair would deal with ( Read more... )

I'm sorry I missed seeing the kids. We thought about calling to see if we could stop by your house on our way back to Houston, but we were exhausted after our long weekend. Especially our visit to Market Square right before noon during the Labor Day Fiesta. The heat exhausted me.

I can understand being tired. Moonsinger was tuckered out and I was exhausted as well. We will just have to try again sometime.

Great to finally meet. I was shocked that Mike Resnick didn't show up at WorldCon, but was instead paid to attend and work DragonCon. I'm considering the possibility of going to DragonCon, and visiting with friends in Atlanta at some point when the WorldCon is overseas, but we'll have to see.

I'm glad your family found things to enjoy at the convention. See you sometime again!
