Summary: From young, Sungmin can't live like other normal kids.

From young, Sungmin can't live like other normal kids. He is usually stuck in the hospital. They are tired of telling him not to get angry but Sungmin just can't control himself. People around him would get on his nerves easily. He has always wanted to be a star. Looking at those performers that are performing on stage, he has the urge to stand on stage too. Bring joy to his audience and his fans. He decided he should choose his future, and not let his sickness choose for him. He studied hard and went to music schools. While walking home from school, he saw there is a café that is hiring part time singer for the café. He decides to try and he got chosen. It has already become a habit for Sungmin to sing at the café. Until one day the owner of the shop decides to hire another singer so both of them could sing duet and bring in more customers. Initially the owner wanted to hire a female but he crossed path with another talent.
“Sungmin ah, this guy here would be your new partner. He’s also talented like you.” The shop owner gave Sungmin a smile.
“Hello there. I’m Lee Sungmin. “ Sungmin gave a friendly smile.
“ Kyuhyun.” Kyuhyun returned a smile.
“I’ll leave both of you to chat and get to know each other.” The owner excused himself and headed off to brew coffee.
Sungmin and Kyuhyun clicked easily, they have the same interest and they realized both of them are intending to go for the same audition.

“Good luck Kyu~”
“You too hyung” Kyuhyun gave Sungmin a smile; the same smile Sungmin saw when he first met Kyuhyun.
“I’ll go answer a call.” Kyuhyun excused himself and went out to answer an important call.
“Is something wrong Kyu?”
“I have to skip this audition; I’ll go for the one next year. I have something important to attend to.”
“I’ll skip this audition too.”
“No. You should treasure this chance. You have to make through this audition.” Kyuhyun told him sternly. He placed an assuring arm on Sungmin while grabbing his bag and exiting the audition room.

After that day, Kyuhyun was nowhere to be seen. Nobody could get through his mobile phone. It is as if he vanished from the earth. After years of being a trainee, Sungmin and eleven other people finally debut. They had won awards since their debut. After a year, they were told that there would be another member to be added to their group. Nobody knows what the new guy’s name is.
“Kids, this would be your new member.”
“H-Hello. I’m Kyuhyun.”
“Kyu~~~!!!!” Sungmin went up and hugged the latter tightly.
“Sungmin ah, this is the guy you were saying all these while?” Sungmin nodded his head and smiled brightly.

“How was it? Are you adjusting well?”
“Yes.”
“Kyuhyun ah, do you… like anybody?” Kyuhyun thought about it for quite some time and finally he told Sungmin he doesn’t have anybody in mind.
Hyung, why do you always fail to understand me? Don’t you understand me? Why can’t you read my heart at all?
Kyuhyun knows he have someone in mind, but he can’t say it out. He can’t afford to lose the latter now.
“Sungmin ah, Kyuhyun ah, come down! Let’s all have a candle talk.”
“Let’s go. They like such things a lot.”
Sungmin lead Kyuhyun to the room where the other members are.
“Hey hey. What are the both of you doing upstairs?”
“Hankyung, don’t forget they are alone.” Heechul told the latter.
“Knock it off both of you. Let’s hear the exact truth from the person himself.” Kangin commented.
“We, I, wanted to confess... NO. I mean we were having small chats”
“No, I heard him saying he wanted to confess.”
“What? No you didn’t!”
“Yes I did.”
“Fine. You heard it.” Sungmin looked away.
“Kyuhyun! Give the boy an answer!”
“I… I can’t.”Kyuhyun walked up the stairs when he heard the door slammed hard.
Sungmin! LEE SUNGMIN! Was all he heard. I’m sorry hyung.
They heard a loud thud from outside the dorm and all of them ran out to look at what happened.
"Cho Kyuhyun! Look at what you have done!"
"What? I did nothing! Hyung chose to escape! I didn't force him!" Kyuhyun almost shouted at his hyung.
Kyuhyun couldn’t be bothered about what is going on outside the dorm. He simply walks back to his shared room with Sungmin. He went to the bed and fell asleep almost instantly. He was forced to awake up from his slumber when his phone rang.
“Kyuhyun ah! Come to the hospital now! It’s an emergency! Call Heechul along too! Hospital, NOW” Leeteuk hung up and proceeded to call people that Sungmin should see the moment he wakes up.
Soft groans could be heard as everybody hurriedly gathers around the small boy that is getting up. Sungmin opened his eyes and realized that a lot of people staring at him.
“What?” he managed to ask after clearing his throat for awhile.
“Are you okay?” Leeteuk rushed to the front and grabbed hold onto Sungmin’s hand. Sungmin said nothing but nodded his head.
“The doctor said, if you are feeling better, you can leave already.” Leeteuk gave Sungmin a warm smile.
Being weak, Sungmin was forced in the hospital until 3 days later when he finally has the strength to stand on his own. Because of his busy schedules, Sungmin attended Star King. He was still weak when he arrived at the studio. Everybody asked if he is okay, he would always tell them he is alright with a convincing smile. Nobody knows Sungmin is still in pain, only Kyuhyun knows. Kyuhyun can’t do anything since he is the one that rejected Sungmin and he is the one that caused Sungmin to be admitted to the hospital. All Kyuhyun could do was keep a close eye on Sungmin.

“Leeteuk hyung, Sungmin hasn’t been eating for days! Get him to eat something or he’ll collapse again!” Hyukjae told Leeteuk. Leeteuk sighed and went to cook Sungmin’s favorite- Pumpkin porridge. After quite some time, Leeteuk took the bowl of porridge and headed to Sungmin and Kyuhyun’s shared room.
“Hyung! What are you doing here? Don’t you have schedules?” Sungmin asked innocently. Leeteuk smiled and placed the bowl of porridge down before hugged the latter tight in his arms.
“Eat this. And, where is Kyuhyun? I’m sure he doesn’t have any schedule today.” Leeteuk asked as he glanced through the whole room. Sungmin shrugged innocently and went back to his bed.
“Sungmin ah. You have to eat. Hyung prepared this for you.” Sungmin shock his head and hugged his legs close to his body. Leeteuk didn’t know what to do. The latter sitting on the bed has to eat, but he simply refuses everything they bring up for him.
“And, Sungmin ah, would you be okay by the time we attend the special show? You know it’s for ELF right?”
“I know hyung. I’ll be okay.”
“If you don’t eat, I doubt you would be okay.” Sungmin looked away, avoiding eye contact with Leeteuk.

“Sungmin ah, are you really sure you are going to be alright?” Sungmin nodded his head and smiled.
Everybody is fooled by you but I wouldn’t get fooled. I know you are still unwell. Kyuhyun looked at his hyung.
True enough, halfway through the show, Sungmin showed signs of pain. He had difficulty breathing and felt sharp pain in his chest. Leeteuk turned and saw Sungmin in pain; he cooked up an excuse and went to the seat beside Sungmin.
“You said you would be fine! Sungmin ah, nothing must happen to you.”
“I’m sorry hyung.” Sungmin said guiltily. Slowly the pain in his chest starts to fade but brought in more pain. After minutes of he coughed out blood and fainted. Leeteuk was at loss, he didn’t know what to do. He has to calm the fans down and explain to them and he has to bring Sungmin to the hospital.
“Kyuhyun ah, you are the only person I can count on now. Bring Sungmin to the hospital while I explain everything to them.” Kyuhyun nodded and carried Sungmin to the car.
“Everybody calm down. I’ll explain everything to all of you. Sungmin has heart problems from young. He didn’t let anyone know. Nobody knows about it until recently. We apologize on his behalf.” Leeteuk bowed and turned towards the other celebrities that are equally shocked. The rest of Super Junior bowed and went to the car and headed to the hospital.
As expected, Sungmin appeared on the news and headlines. Everybody was discussing about it. Sungmin was still in a coma. The doctor can’t explain what happened. All they could do is wait for a miracle to happen. As days go past, the news slowly dies. Everybody slowly stops discussing about what happened. Every night, everybody would still pray and wait for a miracle to happen. Kyuhyun prayed especially hard. He wants his hyung to be able to stand and laugh with him. Kyuhyun can now finally admit he loves Sungmin, but it’s all too late.
Hyung, if you would just open your eyes. I would gladly admit to the word that I love you. So please, just wake up. Let me hug you tight in my arms again- not as friends or family but the kinds of hug lovers do. I would stay up late just for you. I would wake up early just for you. I can give up sleep for you. Please, wake up hyung. I need you in my life.
Kyuhyun felt his tears falling but at the same time he heard soft groans.

“K-Kyuhyun? What are you doing here?”
“Hyung!” Kyuhyun hugged the latter tightly. He was ready to cry anytime.
“I..” Sungmin tried talking but was cut of by Kyuhyun.
“Hyung, I love you. I know it is my fault for rejecting you. I love you hyung, I really do.”
Sungmin grab hold of Kyuhyun’s face and kissed the latter.
“It’s your punishment for rejecting me.” Sungmin giggled.
“Is anybody here has relation with the patient?” The doctor asked as he looked at his clip board.
“I’m his boyfriend.” Kyuhyun stood up and grinned. He followed the doctor out of the ward.
“Please take care of the patient inside. He has a vey weak heart. I can’t operate on him because he may cost his life. He gets hurt easily but if he gets hurt- heartbreak, it might trigger the pain in his heart. This time he was sent in on time that’s why he is still safe. Cases like this are really rare and, the person that is suffering from this is usually someone that everybody loves to be with. Thus please, take care of Sungmin-sshi.” The doctor bowed and walked away.
“Sungmin hyung.” Kyuhyun forced a smile.
“What happened?” Kyuhyun smiled.
“Everything is fine, because I promise I would not cause you any pain.” Kyuhyun smiled again.
