Kyuhyun’s POV
I have to find him. This is my last chance to get my lover back. But, her smile flashed in my mind. Am I being too selfish? Have I neglected her feelings too much? My wife, the one that stayed with me for three years now, nothing happened, even if my parents and her parents want their grandchild, I can’t do it, neither could she. She knows, deep down I don’t love her; she knows my heart isn’t with her. I feel really sorry for her. I gathered my stuff before heading to the apartment that hyung and I lived in. I still kept the key with me, I didn’t want to destroy the key, and because that’s the only thing I can find you back. I happily arrived at the door step of our old apartment. I ringed the door bell, for very long, nobody answered. I was knocking the door, making a lot of noise until someone from the next door came out. And old granny came out to see what happened. I remembered her clearly; the day we moved in she came in to talk to us. Gradually we became closer.
“My dear, stop knocking. Nobody would answer the door. Since that day, Sungminnie carried his luggage and left. At that time, he came and gave me one last hug. I could see his eyes were puffed from the crying, I may not know what happened but the poor boy deserves true love. He is such a kind hearted boy.” I looked at her and sighed. It’s my fault that he cried.
“Do you know where he went after leaving?”
“I tried to ask, he just said he would visit me. He really comes without fail. If you want him back, I can help you but you really have to promise me you wouldn’t break his heart anymore.”
“I promise you.”
“Now, come in. Keep your bags in the room with the pink door.” I followed what she said and came out after doing so.
“Now hide yourself in the kitchen. Don’t come out even if you hear anything. I need you to promise me.” I smiled and nodded my head. She took a small stool and placed it in the kitchen. When I sat down on the stool, I’m able to see the living room clearly. Before I could think about how I can find Sungmin hyung, the door bell rang. I saw the old granny walking to the door.
“Hello granny.” I heard someone said, the voice is too familiar to forget, it was Sungmin. I wanted to rush out to hug him but I remembered what granny said don’t come out even if you hear anything. I need you to promise me. I promised her so I should do it. I calmed myself down and look at the living room. I saw shadows on the door indicating that they are approaching. Not long later I got to see Sungmin again. He is there, he looked good. He still looks gorgeous.
“Tea?” I heard granny say.
“I would be leaving soon granny.”
“Why are you leaving?”
“My parents are bringing me overseas. For how long, I’m not sure.”
“Why, my dear?”
“They can’t stand seeing me like this. They probably would force me to go on dates with people that I don’t know. I don’t want to go~” After so long, he still hasn’t lost his ageyo. I smiled to myself.
“That means you won’t be back to see me anymore?”
“I still will.” He smiled.
“Can you leave your address with me? At least I can write letters to you.”
“Only for you granny.” He smiled again, showing his white shiny teeth.
He left after leaving his address. After he walked through the door, a part of me broke.
“Come out dear.” I tried to stand but my legs went wobbly and I almost fell. The door suddenly flew open again. Sungmin was standing there. He looked very shocked.
“G-granny. I-I.. h-he.. Take this. I’m leaving.” He gave her a box with pink wrapping paper and walked out of the apartment. When granny opened the box, it contained medical stuff along with a note Take care when I’m not around <3
I ran out of the apartment as quickly as possible, maybe by chance I can see him. True enough, he was there but not alone. Ryeowook, his friend was there with him. Ryeowook has his arms around Sungmin’s neck, soon after he gave him a tight hug and left. Sungmin waved goodbye and left. I ran as quick as possible and managed to catch up with him. He looked at me; we stared at each other for a long time, until he finally spoke. “Goodbye. Live your life properly.”
“My life isn’t proper without you!” I shouted. I looked as he walked further and further away from me.
I am not letting him go. I promised granny to give him happiness. I ran as fast as I could and held onto him. I didn’t let him go no matter how much he struggled.
Sungmin’s POV
He wouldn’t let go no matter how much I struggle. I refused to look at him in the eye. I am not going to fall for him again. I would not.. but just by listening to his voice makes me melt. He promised me, the same thing would not happen again. I wanted to forget everything but one touch from you, the memories of us would all come back.
“Hyung, give me another chance.”
“You don’t understand Kyu..hyun.”
“You know you still care about me.”
“I don’t” I tuned away. He hugged me from behind and refused to let go. We stayed like that until he released me.
“Forgive me.” He said in a low tone. I really didn’t know what to do.
“I think you should forgive him Sungmin dear.” I turned to the voice. It was granny. She was smiling, to the both of us.
“I made sure he promised me that he wouldn’t do the same thing to you anymore. From the face he gave the moment he saw you, I am sure he feels really regretful.” I nodded and went to Kyuhyun.
“Is it true? You promised granny?” He gave a nod. I gave a weak smile and buried my head in his chest. He still feels the same.
Now, we are going to live our life together. Nothing would break us apart now.
