‘umma can we have a pet? I mean if we get bored or something.’
‘I can agree depending on the pet and the size.’
‘A rabbit. It won’t be bigger than a a4 size book. Please umma?’
‘I’m fine with a rabbit but where will the rabbit sleep. If we have overseas schedule who will take care of the rabbit? Min ah, you have to think of all this. You also don’t wish the rabbit to be lonely do you?’
‘I’ve got it all settled. The rabbit will be in my shared room with kyu. If we have overseas schedule my brother will help to take care of the rabbit.’
‘has kyu agreed? Since both of you are sharing a room.’
‘I will ask him later. I have to get your permission first umma.’
‘Then go ahead and ask kyu now.’
‘Thank you umma!’ I gave umma a big hug that appa was slightly jealous.
Before I can have a rabbit I need kyu’s agreement. Where is he? Oh, could he be in the room? I opened he room door but saw no one. Where could he be? I walked to the balcony I looked at the shiny stars and the bright moon. Deep thoughts ran through me.
‘Hyung, it’s late why aren’t you in bed?’
‘Kyu! I needed to talk to you. And, why aren’t you in bed?’
‘I’m star gazing. Stars only come out in the night. What you needed to talk?’
‘Kyu, what would you react if out dorm has a rabbit?’
‘Hyung. You want to have a pet rabbit?’
‘Yeah. I intend to. Umma wants me to ask if you agree because we share the same room.’
‘but hyung, what if we leave Korea for overseas schedule? The rabbit.. will be lonely’
‘I’ve thought of that. If we have overseas schedule the rabbit will be living with my brother‘
‘I’m fine with it. Tell umma I don’t mind.’
‘thank you kyu!’
I ran out to look for umma.
I saw teukie umma but he’s with appa. I don’t wish to ruin the mood so I walked back to the kyumin room.
I went straight to my bed and lay there for godknowshowlong until I heard the door.
‘hyung, told umma?’
‘I wanted to. But kangin took teukie to the room. I don’t wish to disturb them so I’ve decided to tell umma tomorrow.’
He said nothing but nodded his head.
‘Umma! Kyu agrees. So can I have a rabbit now?’
‘Since kyu agrees then I agree too. Go ahead then’
‘Thanks umma! I’ll get the rabbit now!’
I turned to kyu.
‘Want to go with me?’
‘Okay.’
We didn’t really talk through out the journey. Since the pet shop is near we kept words to ourselves.
‘Kyu! This is cute! Should we get this?’
‘The white one? Get it if you really like it hyung.’
[kyuhyun POV]
I am not jealous. I am not. But he’s too cute. He’s even cuter then the rabbit.
‘We need a cage and a collar for the rabbit hyung.’
‘I forgot! Thank you kyu!’ he smiled. I can’t help but smiled along with him.
‘We’ve bought the rabbit, the cage, the collar, the food. We’re done. We can now head back to the dorm.’
He nodded his head.
[sungmin POV]
It’s too quiet.
‘Kyu, what should we name the rabbit?’
‘Kyumin?...’
‘Huh? I didn’t hear you kyu. Mind speaking louder?’
‘I said I’m not sure hyung.’
Actually I heard you. I’m just still confused with my feelings. I’m sorry kyu.
‘Kyu, I like someone but I’m not sure if the feelings are mutual.’
‘Then confess to that person.’
‘But what if that person rejects me?’
‘Then continue living your life more fruitfully without that person.’
‘Since this is the case… kyu, I have something to tell you.’
‘Go ahead hyung.’
‘I like you. The feeling might not be mutual but I will still try.’
‘If I reject you, you really will live your live without me?’
‘I guess so, as what you said earlier.’
‘You can’t. Because I’m not going to reject you. The feeling is mutual hyung.’
I kissed kyu softly.
‘I know what we should call the rabbit! We should call him kyumin! Kyuhyun and sungmin!’
He said nothing but smiled.
Through out the journey back we didn’t say anything but out hand interlocked and I’m in kyu’s arms. It’s enough for me already.
