Stay, Jaejoong’s fingers locked around Changmin’s wrist. Stay the night if you dare, he whispered, nocturnal eyes illuminated by the pale moonlight shattering into the room through flimsy curtains.
Changmin peeled Jaejoong’s fingers away, don’t sleep too late.
Jaejoong rolled over in his bed so he was facing Changmin. Changmin eased off the bed, nearly tripping over a guitar lying sideways on the ground, and stepping gingerly around pages of papers strewn across the floor. He began to put on the clothes that Jaejoong had torn off him bare minutes ago in a frenzy of desire.
It’s too late, why don’t you just stay? Jaejoong said in a low voice. Please.
Changmin rotated the doorknob.
I just want to wake up with you beside me, Jaejoong said. Just this once.
The next time Jaejoong spoke, the sun was rising, and he was blinking, bleary-eyed, down at his lover. Good morning.
