It was yet another sleepless night for Kim Junsu. It was another one of those that you usually spent wandering about your room, trying to find something to do, anything to help you fall asleep. But, you figured, it was too tiring, moving around - you tend to clean your room, that’s why - so you slipped out the door, down the hallway off shut doors, and onto the balcony.
You leaned onto the metal railing, looked up into the sky - stars and moon and clouds - and wondered how long it would take, still, for you to be happy. A tear escaped your eyes as you shook your head in disapproval - why ask the heaven for something you’re too scared to make happen.
This was why you hated sleepless nights. They gave you time to think. And thinking meant nothing but even more heartbreak in your part. You let out a soft chuckle - pathetic. You’ve grown more and more pathetic with each day that you deny how you felt, each day you hide your love for him.
You, then, turn around, hearing soft thuds - footsteps - approach where you stood. It was him.
Why are you still up, Su?
He asked you such a simple question, leaning on the railing right beside you. He, too, looked up to gaze at the stars, his eyes twinkling.
Can’t sleep.
Hmmm… me too.
And you wondered if you could turn your back on him, pop in a couple of pills, and go to bed.
