I know of at least four in Cardiff, including a rather spiffy art gallery that would be free in November. However, I have learned that most people seem to think Wales is utterly inaccessible, so maybe not. Let me know if you'd like more info though.

That'd be great; ideally, we'd want something with a vaguely historic feel to it, although whether that's classic Edwardian or Stalinist concrete-chic is entirely up for grabs. Could you drop me their details via a PM? Thanks!

Only secondhand; my family's made successful applications in the past. I've had a thorough read of the Arts Council documentation, and several lay sites. At it's simplest, it requires discussing with the local council, an extensive, cleverly written proposal, an exhaustive budget forecast and six weeks of thumb twiddling.

There's no doubt that it should be avoided if possible. However, I would rather have a venue and work my socks off for it than be lumped with no venue, so I'm leaving the possibility open.
