There are a great many reasons to love Dean & Castiel as a pairing: the grand romance of their relationship (Castiel rescuing Dean from Hell, and then turning on Heaven for him), their sheer combined hotness, and how epic they would be as a couple (the righteous savior of the world paired up with a renegade angel of the Lord!). But aside from how huge in scale their love affair can be, often what appeals to me most are the more human, normal, and arguably unexciting aspects of their relationship together: the support, the affection, their friendship, and their unstated committment to each other. I enjoyed exploring all the facets of their relationship--from epic and tragic to mundane and happy--in my writing for today.
I posted three pieces for today. The first story is some vaguely cracky fluff about how Sam responds to Dean and Castiel's relationship entitled Many Times, Many Ways. The second story, A Hole in the World, examines how Castiel might react to Dean saying yes to Michael and, much like the Angel/Illyria storyline that inspired it, does not end happily. The third piece is an outtake from my Welcome to Oz series that is absolute and total schmoopy fluff, and features sex to boot.
Also, if you happen to like the way I write, I am auctioning off a fic with a 5,000 word minimum over at
this thread for
help_haiti. It's for a good cause, and I will tailor the fic to your specifications, so everyone wins. There are plenty of talented writers, artists and other generous people offering things for auction as well, so I encourage you to check
help_haiti even if my particular offer doesn't appeal.
In any case, I hope you enjoy one or all of these pieces, and have a lovely day!
