Dangerous Game

Sep 13, 2004 16:43

My utter lack of a clue in the dating game is pretty well known to those who read this journal. It was actually documented on Livejournal before. This is the Reason that I turn to you now. Perhaps by pooling all the great knowledge of my peers, I can interpret my current situation accuratly. Here's a recap of my last couple weeks up to this ( Read more... )

DUDE!!! Is this girl kinda "alternative" with brownish-blond hair? If you say her name is Amanda, and she knows Dave, there was an Amanda that he met at Ned Devine's one night that was, like, making him grab her chest, then grabbing his jonx and making him do the same in return. Dave was flipping out because he'd never met anyone that forward before. She kept trying to get him to take her back to our place so they could hook up, and Suzy and I were cracking up because he was so weirded out. If it's that girl, you have NO EXCUSE for not getting some action.

The only other Amanda Dave knew was from Capitol Hill. Did she happen to work there? Hopefully it's that first one though, because that one would be way more fun.

Good luck and godspeed.

Ok, it's been ten seconds and now I'm feeling guilty that I just portrayed some woman you may have respect for as a potential raging slut. My bad. I just got excited when I saw her name and was able to solve the mystery of who this girl is, and then was reminded of an incredibly humorous situation. Regardless of whether I know her or not, here's the legitmate advice part ( ... )

thanks m'man, and thankfully this Amanda is niether of the girls mentioned in your previous response. Her roommate is the one that went to Mason, her name is Liz. I kinda question the validity of her claims to know Dave though. As for Amanda I'll start psyching myself up to try something on Weds, unless I don't have fun, then I just simply won't be in the mood.

You could've had her on the Vegas trip, man. That's what going to Vegas is all about...so TV and Movies would lead me to believe. Seriously though, build up that confidence and do something the next time you see her. To borrow Trent's old addage, if you put a little pressure on the straw, it will bend. You're in.

Yes! The bending straw! I'd forgotten that one.

Let me paint you a picture. Tank tops and panties...

You're not in the friend zone yet, but each date in which you don't have the cojones to make a move pushes you closer to it. Just invite Mr.Cuervo line dancing with you and you'll be good.

Oh, and I didn't hang up on you yesterday either. I'd been gone all weekend without my charger and my battery died. I'll hit you up later today.

My love at long last it seems you have learned the art of flirting and getting something out of it. Be it a hook up or be it a really bad-ass friend that you can chill with. Has our long friendship not taught you anything about girls? Take me for example, I walk into your life at young age and flash my million dollar smile and I have you wrapped around my finger for most of our lives. This girl likes you but may be afraid of your charm and your insecurities. So hang out and start asking about what she is interested in as far as relationships, then you can pretty much see if she is into you as a friend or a different kind of friend.
P.S.- Here is a clue of who I am: my b-day is two months from tomorrow(9/15) If you can figure it out mail me or if you still have my cell phone number call.
Kisses,
?????????

Oh come on dude, you wouldn't expect me to get it too? I knew exactly who she was and I've never even met her. I've seen the photos, I've heard the stories, you'd tell me when she was visiting. Fuck, I've even heard about her younger sister.

I possess an infinite knowledge of all things. Knowledge is power and I am nigh indestructible!
