Think of any classic shoot down. End of the night, ask for a kiss, get the answer no. I don't remember my exact words, but the resluts were a conversation about how she gets the "friend" vibe with me. There was no way to spin it positively, it was pure confidence slaughtering rejection.

Dude, how many girls have you even been interested in since you stopped dating Kate? Like, 3? If you had even a 1 in 3 success rate you'd be a pimp on par with the likes of Enrique Iglesias or one of those assholes from the OC. Meaning, 1 out of 3 is an exceptional attempts to success ratio. I'd say 1 in 10 is even pretty good, but since you're not averaging 10 a YEAR, every single instance takes on added significance. I'm not saying throw yourself at every vagina in town, just don't take it as a huge ego blow when you don't nail every girl you pursue. People who seem to have a lot of women (like Dave for example) do so because they're out working the bars, going to clubs, parties, places with lots of people and constantly angling for dates. You don't operate on that scale. You just kinda do your thing, occasionally meet a girl through one of your friends, and then put all your eggs in that basket. If you were constantly meeting new people, you wouldn't worry that much if one of them didn't like you, as you'd feel confident
