I find it so lovely/pathetic that I can still get all mushy over some fictional characters in a trashy novel. I don't even have to finish the book. The point where everything is going to be ok for our two heroes is enough. The myriad of loose ends not tied up doesn't matter a damn if the good guy ends up with his woman, and vice versa.
