it has been a very disheartening day. my best friend for 3 years of high school was visiting her dad in Indonesia for Christmas and has not yet returned home. no one has spoken with her in 3 weeks. to my knowledge, there is no way to check in she is in a hospital or morgue from the US. i am hoping for the best.
