the icon besides this post is nothing short of jarring! it's cutesy and rounded and childlike. none of these things are things i associate with you. so surreal.

also, sorry i can't come to the show.
to compound my sorry state, i will take this opportunity to remind you that i, in late elementary school and perhaps even my first year of junior high, was in CLOWN CLUB. yes, that's right, CLOWN CLUB. I have pictures to prove this and, even more useful, a long list of parades in which i have been a clown. i know the differences between a whiteface clown and an august clown. i have parade-schtick. my sister was also in clown club; she was the one with the ability to make a balloon into a poodle or a funny hat. my very own mother has participated in a parade or two.
(all of this horrifies a51abductee and he shudders whenever i mention it)
