So it's been at least a year since I've posted, but it's going well, and I figured I'd throw this out there to see what people have to say. For anyone out of the loop, I'm applying to Ph.D. programs in molecular biology and genetics (or related fields).

BTW, east coast totally beats midwest anyway.

I won't know anything before Feb 15, and probably not before March 15. It's frustrating ...
How about you? Did you hear back from Penn? Should I go beat up some people?

Congrats on WashU! I do have to agree with Danny, East Coast trumps Midwest, but I think I'd still choose WashU. Johns Hopkins has never given me warm fuzzies (and yes, please do base your life-altering decision on my lack of warm fuzzies;)).
Anyway, congrats! :)

I have an honors thesis to write.
Interviews are wayyyy more exhausting than I had anticipated.
I have classes I should probably pass.
Realistically, schools such as UVA and UNC (lower "caliber") or Duke (smaller program) were "safety" schools at some level...in the event that I didn't get into some of the better ones.
If only I had the time, I would.

Keep me posted on your plans, which I know have been fluctuating as of late. I'm sure you'll end up where you want :-)

I would choose Johns Hopkins over WUSTL, but based on criteria that I doubt is important to you.
Either way you'll be a pretty kickass school! Congratulations! :D
