When Leonard had suggested that he and Jim pretend to be strangers, he had meant it as a lark, just to get rid of the awkwardness that had seemed to follow them from the Mojave. And then there'd been their date, the other night. After they'd returned from the movies and had wandered through the park... he didn't want to ever forget the look on Bones' face when he'd invited him back, and he knew he wouldn't forget the rest of that night, lying together. Leonard reached for his wallet, making sure he had it. "Been thinking about this all day," he said, unable to take his eyes off of Jim. Jim slid one hand up over Bones' shoulder, his fingers carding through Bones' hair, scratching lazily at his scalp as he felt that warm breath against his neck. He felt enveloped, like the two of them were in their own little world where nothing else intruded, just the solid warmth of Bones' body atop his, and Jim smiled, nuzzling against Bones' temple. "Did you?" he asked, remembering how they had fallen asleep last night, still tangled together after Bones had worked his way back to Jim's mouth, leaving soft, tender kisses along the way.
