The man was born to do this job. "Done here then," he said, standing up slowly, one arm winding around Jim, just enough to pull him close for a quick nuzzle. Leonard didn't want to show too much public affection, not with the door open, though word had begun to spread since they all started getting the ship back into shape, that the CMO and the Captain were living together. "They're pretty good. We got some new people that seem top-notch." Still, he didn't want them all to see that sort of open affection, not in his office.

Home sweet home. Jim loved the sound of that, and he knew now that it meant the same to both of them. He squeezed Bones' shoulder as they started toward the door. "You've given me enough," he said with a warm smile, then shook his head. "Besides, I just wanted to do this. Don't want you feeling bad about it. Quite the contrary." Jim had his plans laid out, the bottle of Maker's and the steak dinner, just for starters. All things that would make Bones feel more at home.
