[Tamas' eyes glow blue and he takes a step back. He's dirty and scuffed like he's been living rough] Is... [He swallows, trying to sound tougher than he feels] Is this the Hub? Am I home?

[The glowing eyes surprise her, and Vera is wary... glowing eyes in her world usually mean heat vision.]

This is the Hub.

[Tamas' eyes cool and he staggers a little, trying to regain his equilibrium] I...I'm home. I'm home.

[Vera reaches out with her power, and steadies Tamas with the branches of a nearby tree.]

You are originally from the Hub? I thought this was an empty world.

[Tamas' eyes flash and he flails to get away from her touch.] Don't! Don't touch me! [He gives off a wave of revulsion and fear that she will feel]

[Vera takes a step back, confused and more than a little hurt by the emotions she's picking up from him.]

I mean you no harm.

[Tamas is too scared to have much control over his abilities right now and Vera gets a bright and painful flash of memory - A boy of fourteen, dressed as Robin dying in a tangle of thorny vines, his heart slowing as poison pumps through his veins as Poison Ivy watches on, laughing.]

[Vera brings both hands to her head for the pain -- and slowly realizes what she's seeing. It's herself, she's evil like... like Jokester and Mawkin said everyone else told them... it's true. She's evil in the other worlds. Oh god, she's gonna be sick.]

[Tamas clutches his head, feeling her pain.] I'm sorry! I can't...I can't always control it. [He drops to his knees, fighting to get his mental shields back up.]

[Vera flees.]

[Tamas curls up in a ball and fights not to cry, trying not to be the scared child he feels right now. He didn't mean to hurt her but he's so overwhelmed he can't keep his emotions in check]

Tim! [Tamas runs to him, pulling his brother into a frightened hug as he buried his face in Tim's shirt, his thin frame trembling.]
