[Putting finishing touches on a plate of heart-shaped biscuits.] Would you like one?

He blinks, holding out a single yellow rose, looking a little bit lost. "Um. Okay?"

Oh, thank you Tim. [He smiles and accepts the rose.] It's beautiful. [He brings over a large biscuit decorated with a white rose.] How have you been?

He turns the biscuit in this hands, looking over the design with a faint smile. "Thank you."

"I've been. I'm good. How are you? Your shop is doing much better..."

You're settling in alright? Please let me know if you need anything.

[He smiles and looks around the shop.] Yes, yes it is. It took a lot of work to get it cleaned up. Thank you so much for your help with that.

"I'm doing all right. It's quiet. Likewise... just let me know?"

"I'm glad. It's a good little shop." He shakes his head. "I didn't do anything."

I will, thank you. [He gives Tim a critical look over, glad to see he's gained a bit of weight while he's been here. Really food must be helping.]

It is. [He stroking the exposed wooden seams with a warm smile.] You kept me focused on the job at hand. That helped a lot!

He smiles wryly. "Focus hasn't been my strong suit in a while, but I'm glad I was able to help you."

"Have a good Valentine's day planned?"

Nor mine when things are out of my control.

[Jack gives a wishful smile.] There's a special someone I'm hoping to spend this afternoon. He has a bit of a sweet tooth so you'll have to let me know how the cookies are. I'm planning to make a big batch for him.

"Which... seems to be when focus would be most useful."

He smiles a bit distantly and nods, before carefully nibbling a cookie, making sure he tastes it properly, rather than simply devouring it as is his temptation. "I think they taste very good. Your someone should be very happy to have a batch."

Thank you for the feedback. [Jack smiles, bundling a half dozen of so for Tim to take with him.] I hope so. He's worth spoiling. How about yourself? Do you have any plans?

"It seems you do spoiling well..." He shrugs a little at the question and shakes his head. "My- No. I don't, really... I'm afraid I'm rather boring..."

I do my best. [He hands over the bundle of cookies, making sure Tim has plenty to keep him going. He smiles softly.] Hardly boring.

"Your best is pretty impressive..." He curls up in his seat and continues to nibble on cookies. "I still... don't know how to live in a world like this, I think. I wish Jason was here..."

Thank you kindly. [Jack dips a bow.]

It must be hard to adjust to this place after the life you've lived. To be so focused on surviving... [Jack frowns and sips his tea.] I'm sure Jason misses you too. Perhaps he'll find his way here too. People from the same world some times do.

He laughs softly at Jason's bow and nods.

"It's... Hard but easy... in different measures." He pauses and smiles fondly at the idea. "That... that would be good. To have him here."
