[Oh god it's muggy in the apartment. It wasn't like ShinRa tech to suddenly go down ... unless something drastic happened. Zechs stirs]
[... What. No, seriously, what. His head's pillowed on Tyki's shoulder in the back seat of some slow-moving jeep and they're in the middle of the jungle and ...]
[Well, at least they're dressed for the day.]
[Placing his hand on the driver's shoulder] I would demand to know at this moment where we are being taken.
[INSIDE THE JEEP THAT'S REALLY A FORD EXPLORER I GUESS]attorney_at_lolJune 5 2009, 19:14:01 UTC
[stirs a little at the hand on his shoulder, having been snoozing in the driver's seat]
Hmm...?
[...then he suddenly bolts upright, because the last thing he remembers is being in his office, which meant he probably fell asleep at his desk, and the hand on his shoulder could be a client; how embarrassing would that be?]
[alert and jumpy] What? I'm sorry, I...
[what he wakes up to, though, is a small flurry of butterflies in his face, which he tries to wave away]
[as the discussion was going on, the temperature in the very Jeep-like Explorer wass slowly rising, oddly contrasting the overcast weather outside. it looks as though a storm may be brewing.]
[aside from stacks of pamphlets touting the wonders of the park, rummaging in the trunk will reveal a number of potentially useful items, including a pair of large, green and yellow googles, a black flashlight, and a grey case containing three flares and a small fire extinguisher.]
[Wiping the sweat off his face, he opens the trunk and extracts the objects. He looks at one of the pamphlets and then leaves the stack alone, but takes the goggles, flashlight, case and fire extinguisher. He's not sure he'll be putting out any fires, but you never knew if something heavy and solid filled with potentially explosive material would be useful.]
[Zechs leaves the car, carefully latching on the safety and holstering his main pistol. While it was getting warm in the Explorer - sunlight, perhaps? - it's humid outside. Definitely going to storm sooner or later.]
[Soft] Under better circumstances, I could more reliably give your self an estimate for our chances.
[Very quietly] The community might prevent any means for us to leave the island.
When you guys are ready~computertanJune 8 2009, 00:40:58 UTC
[The environment is much as has been described: a large, flat plain, sloping up in the distance on one side. The gleam of water is barely visible behind them, and the bright sunlight is rapidly dissipating under the gathering clouds of an oncoming tropical storm.
Massive shapes are moving off in the distance, hurrying for shelter. Perhaps it's time for the group to do the same.]
[Tyki spends much of his time flying up above them and looking around, then drops back down again to discuss their route with the others. It's looking more and more like rain, and he doesn't like it.]
All the beasts are starting to run off towards shelter. But I haven't seen a shed or anything, yet. [Glum, but optimistic] Hopefully once we get to the road...
[Zechs doesn't like it much either, and is keeping resolutely calm. Almost icy, which might show Tyki how much he was actually concerned, but would likely keep Phoenix and Richard oblivious.]
Should the road be paved, our travel will be the more simpler.
[Hopefully this road wasn't also used by prey animals, meaning it was stalked by predatory animals ... but he wasn't about to voice this.]
It would seem logical for there to be a shed or building of maintenance along a road used by those who facilitate this location.

[Oh look, teases are emerging and fluttering about the interior of the jeep, some of them slipping out into the forest beyond]

[Shoots a look at Tyki. There's another man in the Jeep Ford with them and he doesn't want to uselessly frighten strangers.]
[Calm. Rational. Someone has to be the sane one.] ... Wright. You have not abducted us, so I shall assume the community likely has.

We'll manage. Even if we can't leave the island for a while, we'll find a way to be safe.
[He looks at Zechs, solemn but determined] I won't let anything happen to you.
