TEAM LATE!!! \o/ the not so late!

[Hibari, Karen, Axel, Superboy, Mitsuru, Gokudera and Chibiusa!

We're going with Axel's plan, if that's alright with everyone in our team? Axel's plan was to start on that one mountain-thing on the east side of the island that seems to be the only one not occupied by dangerous/carnivorous dinosaurs. Copypasta, lol. I'm also assuming that's the ( Read more... )

[For 'just a bird', the creature in the bushes is rather...scaly. It's also tiny, about a foot tall, with a long, slender neck and longer tail.

It twitters, hopping back a step and cocking its head tot he side almost curiously.]

Uh... this looks like a dinosaur.

It's kinda cute, though.

[If he says it's a god damn bird then it's a god damn bird, herbivore.]

Huh?

[Hibari observes the small 'bird' before crouching down. Extending a curious hand of his own to it. After all he didn't have anything against small animals, just weak and crowding humans.]

It's just a bird, herbivores.

It is not a bird. Birds have feathers and, you know, aren't tiny dinosaurs. And careful. I don't know enough about dinosaurs to know if that's a dangerous one or not.

[One Compsognathus might not be dangerous, and this one certainly doesn't seem aggressive. It sniffs Hibari's hand, then hops back, trilling again.

But the bird sounds in the underbrush haven't stopped, and there are more little heads popping out of the foliage. Two, three...five...more, all around, all chirping.]

[ watches them out of the corners of her eyes ] One doesn't seem worrisome, but a flock could mean trouble. Strength in numbers, after all. [ her grip tightens on her evoker ]

[He smiles slightly. Arrogant that he was right over the fact that the Compsognathus didn't attack him. But, seeing more of them pop up, he stands back up. Each tonfa in each hand.]

Yet the bird didn't attack me, did it?

Animals sometimes don't, when they're on their own.

[Closer, closer. The little dinosaurs don't seem scared, and are creeping out of the underbrush all around the group. One or two are hissing, a few others flashing pointy little teeth and pointy little claws. One the whole, though, they mostly seem inquisitive.

Could it be they're just curious? Or perhaps they're simply...waiting.]

...guys, get close together. I don't think I like this. I think we should go somewhere else. I can fly us away.

Is that a challenge, little herbivores?

[A smirk, he's ignoring what superboy says. Almost as if the tiny dinosaurs showing off their teeth was a challenge. Hibari delivered his own warning to the small dinosaurs by allowing the one of the many mechanisms of his tonfas to activate.

With a smooth flick of the wrists, little square spikes branched out on the metal weapon. Like a pine tree, only more branched out, and sharp. (See icon for a better description...)]

...you're stupid. And I'm pretty sure they're carnivores. What the hell kind of insult is herbivores anyway?

[Punches the ground and sends his TTK out to explode the ground around them.

It's meant to knock the dinosaurs back, but if it happens to trip up Hibari as well, mistakes happen!]

[At the display of force, the small dinosaurs retreat into the underbrush, only the lingering chirping giving any indication they haven't completely fled and are still scurrying around the area, perhaps looking for easier prey.

If the group continues uphill, they'll eventually be treated to a view of the surrounding landscape, somewhat obscured by the trees covering the mountainside. There are other mountains beyond theirs, and a river cuts between them. A pale line, possibly a road or animal track, runs beside the water.

Further up the mountain, all that can be seen is more greenery.]

[Hey, hey computer. I'm going to take one of those dinosaurs and tame it. Just you wait and see.]

Keh, let's keep going. The sooner we find the weakling in charge of this, the better.

We should get to that road. There's no way to tell where it leads, but it has to lead somewhere.
