I haven't. Some beautiful and creative design in there. Thanks for the link.

Many of those designs label the days of the week (i.e., M Tu W Th F S S). I started with day labels but eventually removed them. I think that by differentiating the two days of the weekend from the five of the week, there's enough visual info to quickly infer the day of the week. What do you think?

for your task of not breaking the chain, the day of the week doesn't matter.

As a calendar, though, I think that day of the week would be nice. Maybe as a large, greyed out single letter behind the numeral?
