my dear dan,

i just had my roommate read your entry to me because i am in bed after my carpel tunnel surgery. (it all went well). but i need to tell you how incredibly happy it made me to hear from you and to hear that you are out in the world experiencing and living life. deep down inside you were always "one of us" with your passion and exticment for what you do. it is so good to hear that you just go for it! struggling but succeding all at the same time. i am still trying to meet up with you sometime in the future but my life is similar to yours- just crazy busy. but just so you know you will get a call in the future where ill be like DANNNNNNNNNNNNNN IMMMMMMM IN THE CITTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. lets get coffee. so i hope to hear from you more often. we miss you a lot... and keep it up. totally super proud of you!
