Interesting that you post this the very same day I find your livejournal. I guess since you're now a hardline atheist, that would get put down to random coincidence rather than the kind of mystic serendipity you used to describe hovering around Der Nintribe, eh?

Looking back, it sure seems like I write a lot. A lot of it lately is when I drink, which has been the majority of my off nights. I'm taking the night off, though, since I went through two thirds of a bottle of bourbon yesterday.
If I started listing the number of things I've been full of shit about, I'd write a novel of at least the size of the one I am reading now.
This is the only way I really interact with the internet anymore. It conforms to my whims and schedule well.

Online in some capacity sure beats not at all. We still talk about you sometimes.
I dunno if you're actually trolling for feedback on matters re: religious education and child-rearing, but for quite a while now I've been of the opinion that everyone really deserves the chance to grow up enough to want to seek out and grapple with questions of spirituality, faith, and God (or whichever equivalent thereof) before they get the whole mess jammed down their throat- that the healthiest viewpoint will be one that you find yourself, and that resonates with what you believe, rather than getting indoctrinated from birth as an atheist or full-package member of a religion.
Then again, my personal beliefs don't include un-baptized babies getting sent straight to Hell if they die, so others may have a personal stake in alternate methods.
Anyway, I'll be keeping an eye on this space. Good luck with the upcoming arrival.
