Yet again it comes down to a Patriots and Colts match-up. The Patriots don't quite carry the same mystique as they once did. The Colts have beaten them the last two times they have played. What people in this country and especially the politicians have forgotten is that our system exists with opposing factions to balance one another, working together. Now it's more like a gameshow or a contest of the greatest order, each party is a contestant that wants your money for different reasons. I still believe there are good people in Washington from both parties, and good ideas from both parties, and I believe that the majority of our citizenry is not stupid, but even the smart people are playing too deeply into the partisan nature of this game and getting lost. It's like in some spheres of the Bible Belt, saying Democrat is like saying Devil, and in the younger crowd I hang with, on FFXI or online AIM/MSNM, are usually representing the views of the liberal side of life colored by the coastal cities they live in, and hate GWB and hate the government and hate Republicans. It's just... such a lack of thought and an invasion of bias.
