P. Rogue Secundus

Today I can finally admit that in my innermost thoughts that I was hoping for this child to be a boy. The evidence is fairly conclusive. He kept his little hand over his jewels at first, but after a moment proudly displayed his manhood. It could hardly have worked out better for us. We got exactly what we wanted, one girl and one boy very close ( Read more... )

Man y'all are just packing it all together aren't you. I see nothing but success for the both of you, and those two kids are going to take over the world someday.

Now, for online classes, since I've been doing them for a while. Basically, you are given a syllabus, your assignments, and a time table. For the most part, it's a "Ok guys the term ends here, have all your stuff done by then." Sometimes a teacher/professor will demand exact dates for parts, but it seems pretty rare because online teachers know that the student is taking this route because their schedule tends to be too full to attend a classroom. If you have tests, you'll have to go to an approved testing center, probably your nearest college campus, and take whatever sort of exam they through at you. For me they are multiple choice exams done on a PC over the interwebs.

We are unbelievably excited about the future right now. We are both excited to be using the potential abilities we had let go dormant to improve ourselves. Then there is little Molly, the picture of healthy trouble, and all signs point to this baby being perfectly healthy as well.

The one that really seems strange to me is "Fundamentals of Public Speaking." Some classes make sense to me online, such as English and Math classes. I do benefit from that I actually want to learn the material, and I have always been good at teaching myself from a book.

Yeah I've always wondered about that one too. I took public speaking in an actual classroom, but I always see it offered online and just wonder "Ok HOW?"

If you can spare the time nail that one live, since you do have that fear of being in front of folks and talking without looking away and mumbling. I basically always forced bravado to get through that stuff, but I constantly shake and am a mess of nerves. One of the big reasons why I went into computing and not my original want of being a lawyer.

According to the students who took an online public speaking course at my previous college they had to find an audience, record themselves giving speeches, and then send it to the teacher. No idea as to whether or not this is the standard procedure everywhere else though...
