I started checking in to my new unit yesterday and had plenty of time to do nothing. Those of you who have been through the deployment process know what I am talking about. So while I was waiting I had a creative moment and felt that I needed to put it down on paper so I did. I am going to post it now so that I can remember what I was thinking

Although i can't honestly say that i wish i was going with you out there, if i did have to go, i'd want to be one of your corpsmen. Why?? Because i would know that i'd be taken care of. I'm still holding it down as the World's Finest HM3. Maybe someday i can be the World's Finest HM2 like you.

It is great to hear from you. I have been so busy this week. I drive almost 2 1/2 hours each day to Camp Pendelton and by the time I get home I am so tired that all I want to do is sleep but I can't because I have to get all of my gear ready still. On you going back out with me, Dude that would be awesome. You know that I think the world of you and appreciate everything that you have done and continue to do. I have a "cube" setting on my desk at the BAS and have been teaching my young guys......
