Four days in Llandough

28th/29th
I don't remember at what point I came round. It was tea time ish and there were people taking my obs and someone trying to get some blood. I had a blood drip and a saline drip. It was the sort of floating in and out period.
I felt tired but no real pain. I had oxgen tubes up my nose and the oxygen made my nose, throat and mouth dry as ( Read more... )

I'm trying to keep fluids up.
I'm home now. I came home Friday night and I'm trying to chronologically put the experiences down before I forget the important bits.

I think I must have missed the bit where you said that this was imminent - last I heard, your op had just been postponed again. I'm glad you've finally had it, and I hope that you regain mobility (and improved mobility at that) very soon.

After the last postponement I was given 28th Sept as the date, but, I had to phone on the morning of addmission (that meant before 6am as I was due in at 7am) to make sure there was still a bed allocated.
I decided not to mention it close to the date in case I jynxed it.
