Bright blue eyes looked up through matching hair, quizzically staring at the wall. Was that a scream he'd heard from the next room over? Rolling off his bed, comic book still in hand, he wandered over to the mostly-closed door next to his and knocked.
"Guu? I thought I heard someth--"
As the door swung open, a pair of sly red eyes met his own, and Guu slowly resumed chewing. One still-wriggling pokute ear protruded from her cavernous mouth, and Hale swore he could still hear whimpering.
"Nevermind."
As he carefully pulled the door shut and turned away, Hale swore he heard a burp, followed by that sociopathic chuckle.
"Ehehehehehe."
