IC: That hospital (carriero only)

Nov 02, 2010 09:10

(OOC: This is basically to keep track of what's happening in the carriero so far. Or attempted to, anyway. Will be subjected to future editing.)

After I talked with everyone about their plans, I was thinking about my choice by myself when I found myself waking up in a strange place.

I was frantic. It's the sixth night and the last day was coming in a couple of hours. In this white place, I'm separated from the others and I can't find my COMP everywhere. The door out of this room was locked, so I searched everywhere for my things and a way out. My clothes was in the closet, but that begs the question: Who brought me here?

On a related, disturbing note, who dressed me into these hospital clothes?

...Maybe I should leave that line of thought alone.

There's a small communicator device thing, showing a man walking around. I can't seem to talk to him with the device.

After a while, the door was unlocked and I went out to search for the others. Even tried calling out for Naoya, saying I'll go with his plan. He always seem to appear without people noticing at first.

Didn't work.

I'm not the only one here in this place. People, not from the lockdown, was stuck here like me and was also trying to find a way out. There's also some non-humans, like Darc the Deimos and the Ashura kid.

I have to work with everyone here to get out. Time's wasting and the government might've kill everyone by now...

-

I can hear music.

My MP3's doesn't have those songs.

Only I can hear them.

I don't like the implications there. At least Yamamoto didn't think I'm going crazy, when I mentioned it.

-

I don't know how, but I found myself in this empty room. A voice asked me questions, which I answered after a while. I was let into the gym with everyone else. Nothing happened.

It's worrying.

-

Argh!

There's a loud siren ringing everywhere. The only place that's remotely quiet was the gym, where everyone else was heading for. On retrospect, it looks like whoever's in charge was herding us there, since they locked us in.

I met that man I saw on the communicator's screen, back on my first 'day' here. He told me someone known as 'Linda' won't let us out.

Linda...the one in charge? Responsible for our capture?

Oh and I accidentally stepped on a rat's tail. It bit me and it's very painful. Yuri, one the people stuck here as well, helped with disinfecting the wound.

Better be careful, next time. Can't heal myself without my COMP.

-

Some 'days' later, my COMP appeared in my room.

I'm both glad and suspicious.

It's tampered, even I can tell. My COMP got only three demons inside and I can't access the Devil Auction. The fusion program's there, but that means lowering the number of demons I have.

Current demons: Deity Shiva, Megami Lakshmi and Wilder Mothman.

-

I miss everyone. They better be alive, even knowing how many days I've been here.

Atsuro, Yuzu, Midori, Keisuke...

...Naoya.

-

Water's leaking and wasn't stopping.

Everyone's trying to find a way out, since we don't want to be drowned. The third floor, with the chapel, was as high as we can go. There's a rumoured fourth floor, but no luck.

...The floors where our rooms were. Already fooded.

Hatsune and I figured the best way was to find the server room. I'm not Atsuro, but I think I can find the information we need.

How to get out.

Who our captors are.

If possible, restore my COMP's functions completely.

Even here, I found myself taking 'charge'. Better to do something than nothing and panicking. I'm being calm, but on the inside...

-

I never want to experienced drowning again.

Even with magically appearing gills, those moments before they appear...

Huh? What's that--?!

Oh sh--!

...

...You got to be kidding me. Where do those sharks came from? And did I just hear the Jaws theme just now?

As long I don't get their attention, I'm staying inside my room and talking with the others over the communicator. Being eaten by a shark sounds like an unpleasant way to go.

Later, I spoke with Shishido and we had a talk about eating those sharks. Hm...shark sashimi and fillet. Think an Agidyne works well? Or Fire Dance?

-

The water's gone, somehow. And so is my COMP.

So much for shark fillet.

...Is there anything sharp enough for sashimi slices?

The food at the cafeteria is appreciated, after leaving off rations and what we can get in the lockdown. But I have to admit, the food there isn't as...good, like Mr Vargas complained.

-

My COMP's back again.

I had a feeling they're taunting us. Giving our weapons and powers back, believing we can't escape. We'll show them.

Gokudera, my neighbour, was trying to destroy the walls in the gym with his dynamites. I summoned my demons, but no luck. Their strength can't even chipped the walls.

Also, those walls?

Holy Dance doesn't work.

Those walls can resist Almighty.

-

...There are tomatoes growing out of Mr. Vargas' head.

What.

Are they edible

Is it like with the music? The ones in charge, giving us these 'powers'...what are we, lab rats?

-

How did this place got destroyed overnight without waking us up until now?

We all woke up to the sound of screeching and found that everything but our rooms and the shared bathrooms was destroyed. Electricity and running water is off. I have to be careful with using my COMP, maybe the hand charger was around...

According to Shishido, there's nazguls from Lord of the Rings out there. Yamamoto's outside at where the garden used to be and further confirmed it.

What's going on...?

Problem: The cafeteria's also destroyed. We need to find a way to feed ourselves.

-

The orcs attacked us.

They believed Shiva and Lakshmi to be of the elves, so they attacked my group with hatred, unlike the others in the battle.

We fend them off the best we can, but they managed to captured Fuji and Katara.

We found out Sauron's in this world from an orc.

...Yeah, Sauron.

-

Hatsune and I found a child. He's injured and told us things. About the fire, his hometown, the Ring that must be destroyed...

I can't heal his wounds. They keep on opening up, even with Diarahan. Amrita doesn't work, either. And I have a feeling summoning Lakshmi for her magic will be futile but...

He won't last long. He'll die.

I couldn't save him...

-

I called for everyone for a meeting. We need to plan on how to break into Sauron's stronghold and rescue Fuji and Katara.

And to tell everyone about what that boy told Hatsune and I.

I'll send in Mothman for recon later, after everyone reported in.

I wonder...will there be a way home inside that place?

-

Considering our numbers and our strengths, a full frontal assault will be difficult.

Infiltration is our best course of actions. Mothman will scout out for a weak point in the outer security, soon. Despite his speech patterns, he can be sneaky under my orders.

If it's possible, I should give him a treat when this is all over.

-

Everyone. We got two missions:

Rescue Fuji and Katara.

Destroy the Ring.

We'll succeed.

-

Bed...?

How did I end up on a bed? And my body and clothes are clean.

...It's dark. I can't see anything. Where's the switch?

-

There's noises outside. Hatsune went out and confirmed (after much pecking) that it's birds. Birds with a temper, judging from what I heard.

We're blind, there's birds that'll bother us outside and we haven't eaten since before the hospital's supposed destruction.

-

After some starving few days, our eyesight returned to us.

In return, we all shrunk.

Annoying, our communicators didn't shrink along with us.

I couldn't help but imagine those birds chasing us and trying to eat us. Looks like we'll be staying hungry a little while longer, unless there's a safe way into the cafeteria. I know Hatsune wouldn't have to worry, being a robot, but I'm worried about the rest of us.

-

We all returned back to our normal sizes, finally.

Even without my COMP, I can at least defend myself from the geese (they're still around). For all the trouble they cause, maybe I should cook them.

Curiously, the cafeteria's menu changed. There's more options and frankly, much better than before. After starving for several days, it's a great relief to finally eat food that's not...sloppy joes or whatever they're called. The supposed destruction of this place, the blindness and then being tiny tends to make it hard to get food.

Will check for more changes later.

-

They set us a 'game' to play.

Tetris.

With giant, falling blocks.

...This won't be fun.

-

Apparently, we failed.

For the first time ever, we heard a voice other than that woman's voice, even for a moment. A man's. He mentioned something about 'batch'. What, are we a batch of subjects?

While I wonder about that, there's suddenly a lot of mistletoe everywhere, no matter where you go. The ones in charge send out a message, saying our teamwork earlier was 'insufficient', so this'll help with smaller teamwork exercises. And 'to kiss is the answer'.

...

Well, I find myself standing underneath one with Hatsune.

...We figured it'll get those people off our case, so...she kissed me on the cheek.

-

The mistletoes are gone now.

A lot of fireworks instead, however.

Joy.

-

Gokudera tried using all of our fireworks to blow up the garden's walls. It didn't work, unfortunately, but the fireworks was nice to look at.

-

New people are coming in.

Familiar ones...'terminated'. They're not dead, just...no longer stuck here. But then I remembered that Katara and Fuji was last seen being captured by the orcs.

They can't be dead.

-

Everyone got everyone's powers, all at once. They can hear the music I hear, I can understand Mr. Gilbert's bird...

Of course, Linda send us another test. Mr. Gilbert and I managed to figured out that we have to guess who got which powers.

I'm pretty sure a few people was annoyed by my music power. Except for Hatsune, she seems happy.

In a place like this, music can be uplifting.

I called for a meeting, as always.

We can't fail this time. No more failures. Failure means punishment, being taken away, that boy...

-

We passed.

We know each who got which power.

After the test, things went back to 'normal', meaning I only have the music now. It's...celebration-like, and Linda sent us our rewards.

...I got photos of my friends and family.

-

Guys? Hey, guys, can you hear me? Hatsune? Gokudera? Yamamoto? I can't get out of my room and the shared bathroom's door is locked! My communicator's not connected to the network as well!

Mr. Vargas? Miss Robin? Mr. Gilbert? Mr. Russia? Ashura?

...Everyone?

-

So.

I'm no longer stuck in my room, but now I'm in a house at a beach with the others. For some reason, I don't remember much from being locked up.

Also, I have a twin sister.

I don't remember having a twin.

Are they messing around with us, since everyone else also have their own twins? Or we really do have siblings and they messed with our memories?

And according to Meg--my sister, Megumi Wakahisa--we're also...Hatsune and her brother's cousins and they're...our bosses. And we're the Special Administrative Region of Wakahisa.

...I'll be over here, mentally sorting this out.

-

There's a party going on. While I could join them, I want a moment to myself.

I can't help but think that this won't last forever. We're out, but I doubt the aslyum's people will let us go that easily. There's bound to be a catch to all of this, right?

-

She's--They're gone.

Her clothes are still here, or else I'd thought it's all a dream. Did Linda...

Did they 'terminate' them?

-

Something's going on.

We can't lie. Or hide anything. Any questions asked, always answered honestly, no matter what.

I...told Gokudera about the War of Bel. And Naoya's plan to fight God. And the government's final option. All because he told me a theory about our ID numbers.

People with numbers closer to 800 are normal humans, those closer to 900 aren't. Since my ID starts with 866, I found myself saying that I wouldn't be surprised by my number, considering the Bels.

Hahah...the more Bels I absorbed, more of my humanity will be lost...?

No matter which plan I go for, I won't be normal again.

-

Gravity.

Everywhere.

My bed's on the WALL.

Fuuuuun.

It was during this time that Miss Luka Megurine appeared as a new 'arrival'.

After so long, we get new people?

-

Welp.

We failed.

Punishment: No food from the cafeteria.

-

Huh. A farm this time...

When I woke up, I found myself at a farm. It seems real enough and the air is really fresh, too. Are we really out or is this an illusion for a test?

While I explore the place, I came across an older Ashura and a young girl that reminds me of Miss Megurine. While Ashura was proven to be an older version, the young Luka seems to be Miss Megurine's younger self, if I guess right.

-

Hi! I'm Kouki and I'm a big boy now!

I'm at this biiiiiiiiiiiig farm and I dunno why, but maybe I should take care of it like an adult?

Oh, oh! I meet new people here and have friends! Like Luka and Miku and Hayate!

But...I miss Naoya.

-

Scary things are out there. Where's Naoya...?

But I must be brave! Me and Hayate put out some salt to stop bad things from coming in. We protected the house!

-

So we're heading out to the town with a horse. There's nobody there. I wonder why.

...?

Candy!

-

Miku, we must run away!

There's...there's no way out!

Waaaaaaaaaah, fire! They're burning us!

NAOYAAAAAAAAAAA...!

-

...

Tch. This place. Turning me into a child, and now I died and came back?
