A great event
Sapphire is an event that I hold dear to my heart every year. This was my fourth, and each has surpassed the previous. Next year's will have to go far to top this one, even with the minor difficulties I encountered.
In no particular order:- I got to watch somebody that I truly respect and admire step up to serve his King and Barony.

Blackstone
Another weekend, another event. Blackstone Raids was my second event in Æthelmearc (First was Pennsic last year, so does not really count). I have to say that I found it to be very enjoyable. The sides were fairly even, with Atlantia coming to the aid of Æthelmearc vs. King Lutr and the the Middle.

I don't normally like to post mundane issues here, but I am so frustrated right now.
I have a 94 Blazer. It's old, but up til recently has run great. I had to replace the water pump last week, and was rushing to get that done prior to Coronation. Got that done, but on the way down to the event, the serpentine belt decided to jump off. Luckily ( Read more... ) -
Home from the War
We got home last night, and I'm not sure where to start. When I think about the last week, and as I digest the things that happened, I find that I actually enjoyed Gulf Wars a LOT more than Pennsic. I spent roughly the same amount of time at each one, and although I did more "work" at Gulf Wars, I had a lot more fun. It certainly lived up to it's ( Read more... ) -

Well, I'm geeked. I mean, really, really geeked. I've looked forward to Gulf Wars for months now, and sometime in the wee hours tomorrow night, I'll be off. I don't know how many Atlantians are going, and to be honest at this point it doesn't really matter. I'll get to meet new folks, and fight with them =). Preparing for War
So Gulf Wars is only a few weeks away, and I'm finalizing my preparations for it. I've most of my garb packed up, got my weapons in shape, and got the tent together and packed up. Ymir
Ymir was what we are going to call "a good day!". I got to touch base with some folks that I have not actually been face to face with for a few months, I got to fight with some folks that I don't normally see during pickups, and I got to meet some folks that were completely new to me. new toy!
The new longsword arrived today. Now to see how well I've absorbed Fiore's teachings at Ymir tomorrow =). I'll take my 35 and 30, but I think I will spend more time playing with the new toy than anything else.
