I have the digital cable box and yes, the handful of HD channels that come with basic cable (which include the local station HD variants) are GORGEOUS. the antikythera mechanism is of course possible, it was merely a very early precursor to the mechanical clockwork found in fine Swiss watches. Turns out that early societies were a lot smarter than we gave them credit for, and we're just smug bastards who think we're better than everyone. It's just that the stuff they made wasn't made of eternal plastic like ours stuff. And double-stuff Oreos are NOT disgusting. What evil communists are you hanging out with that would put such anti-Oreo thoughts in your head? Why do you hate America?

looking forward to gorgeous tv, thanks, the Anti mech isnt merely a precursor to a watch, it calcs astronomical positions well before the theories were finished, and i am notoriously anti-sugar. the oreo attitude came from me, discovered when i put a double stuff in my mouth last night and almost gagged.

so, im asking every question that pops in my head from now til death.
This made me laugh so hard. Every time I picture you popping off a question I start laughing again.

HDTV... can't help ya. Honest, don't know much about it at all.

Oreos, now that I am an expert on! Double-Stuff Oreos are eaten by children, depressed women and heathens. Oh, wait, did I just call Art a child, a depressed woman, or a heathen?

BTW... regarding stupid...
I got an xbox two Christmases ago. It sat on my TV for about a year in regular ol' tv format till one day while moving stuff around the tv connections I realized I had an HDTV. I switched the three prong plugs to component and the xbox to hd...

It looked quite different and I felt like a buffoon.

Is it sad that I can't seem to disagree? But I still likes me a Double-Stuff Oreo.

Double-stuff oreos makes my fillings hurt just thinking about it.

Now, fudge-covered oreos in the freezer (I blame Steve for getting me started on frozen oreos) Thems is the bestest!

hehe... This Christmas Dinner, be sure to dip a frozen oreo in the cool whip. Nothing earth shattering, but a nice indulgence.

'the smartest dumb person i know.We chatted a little bit about this at Write Club last week (and I was picked as the least intelligent out of the three of us). And I was chatting about it with a friend at work just this morning (she was helping me with something driving me nuts). I'm clever, but I'm not necessarily all that intelligent. But I have more smarts than many people who are far more intelligent than me, if that makes sense ( ... )

and yet, for some reason, anytime in life i have to open something, and assume there's an easy way they figure most consumers will go for, i end up ripping the thing into pieces, or going to the garage for bigger tools.

im talking bag of cheetos difficulty level. i once spent 45 minutes trying to remove the 'skin' from skinless chicken.

also, that was mark who bestowed the order of intelligence on us. he placed himself first, although we all agreed on that one.

We can let a coin toss decide between you and me...although I give you the edge 'cause your writing is smarter than mine.
