You don't need money to be happy, and you can make a living doing what you love.
Don't ever let her force her own expectations/dreams upon you.

You have your whole life ahead of you. If you change your mind, it's okay. If you mess something up and have to start over, that's okay too.

Also, I read this article that teenagers are less motivated by long-term goals than adults, so it's not really your fault! [laughs maniacally]
