whoa, that is weird! we are leading the same lives!
did you watch it last night? (im assuming you did.) i wasn't very impressed with anyone. i think donyelle is gonna get kicked off next, but it's hard to tell with the boys. travis is really, really good. i really want ivan to win, but i think it might go to benji. but you know, it's hard to tell these things with it being up to america and all. i mean, who the fuck knows what america likes these days?

you know what i think happened last night? shitty music.

did you see donyelle after her solo? she had this weird look on her face and i couldn't tell if she was injured or just upset about her performance. but my guess is that she's going home. it definitely won't be heidi. and i hope it's not natalie just because she's so bangin' hot haha

travis is my favorite guy and i think i want him to win. but we have already established in recent years that america just sucks at voting.

You should read that, it's Burrough's first book. He originally published it under the name Bill Lee which is why Kerouac refers to him as Old Bull Lee. My brother just read it. I started it on the bus ride bringing it to him & the beginning was quite enjoyable.

Also, I highly recommend a book by Richard Brautigan called Trout Fishing in America (2). Readable stoned or not, it's definitely written by a kook. I found it hilariously funny. I'm assuming that you've already read Fear & Loathing (3) because that is required reading, but unfortunately some hashish & a sleepless night has ruined my ability to remember… just about anything. Also by Dr. H. S. Thompson, a fascinating history of a Weird movement of the American Dream Hell's Angels (4). And if you're interested in something a little more classic & a little less pop I highly recommend Nabokov's Lolita (5).

kaya CP!
yours, gf

pshh, you think i haven't read junky? burroughs and the smack is what i'm all about. i just bought dharma bums so i think after on the road im gonna read dharma bums and then go back and re-read naked lunch and junky and then go for even more burroughs. i wanted to buy hell's angels but they didn't have it at the bookstore which is why i got dharma bums instead. but that is def. on the list.
