So.. i got pissed after i saw Mike's entry on vegetarians and vegans so i am going to make one on it also. You know, my reason for becoming one is to prevent more animals from being abused on these farms. It is horrible the things that they do, and animals have feelings also. They can feel pain and sadness and those people that are holding up ( Read more... )

i know all about it, point is, no matter what u say or do, its not going to stop people from eating it, thats why i say its stupid. if it were going to make everyone stop, then it'd be fine, but its not, and if you take it all as ignorant, then dont read.

Vegetarianism just doesn't save the animals dude. It's also a very healthy way of eating. It brings down the risk of heart disease.
It's not only the way they treat animals that some people are vegetarians, its also because farmers are fwrecking rain forests to make room for their cattle.
And a few people not eating meat actually does make a difference.
Do you know how much each individual person brings in the meat industry?
A whole lot. And as they start losing money they aren't going be using as large of estates or as many as animals because they will be losing to much money.
Sorry to have butt in, but its seems like you don't know as much as you think you would like to. There are a lot of benifits to being a vegetarian compared to being a typical person who eats on average 2-3 pounds of meat a day.

People protest in front of KFC because they are horrible to their chickens. Boiling them alive etc. It is just disgustingly inhumane. When people protest, they do get people to stop. I stopped buying anything from their. And even if you arent helping the animals [which you are but you seem to not understand that so i wont try] then you at least arent contributing to it. I dont have to be part of that shit. So yeh.

I don't think vegetarianism is necessarily becoming a trend. Really, its just another diet people choose. Nothing more than the Atkin's diet or anything like that. And even though being a vegetarian is healthy, you wont get everything your body needs, such as protein, unless you take vitamins or stuff like that. Eating meat doesnt make someone a bad person. People were meant to eat meat, thus why we have sharp teeth. But I have also eaten some vegetarian food that looks and tastes almost identical to the actual meat product. People such as Mr. Bon Bon shouldnt knock it unless they have tried it. I use to make fun of the vegetarians, but once I tried it for like 2 weeks, I realized its not horrible, but also not for me.

Also there is a restaurant in NYC called the Candle Cafe that I highly recomment. It is a vegetarian restaurant and it is undoubtly the best place I have ever eaten.
