Jumble....

I have tried to make an entry so many times, but they always turn out so jumbled... just rambling. But I have to type something. It will probably jump from place to place. and never actually arrive anywhere

Pretty much anything I had was all on cassette because it was copied from a copy of a copy that someone had the album of. But back in the day it still was great sounding.

I have to say one summer I have must have seen the Exploited at least 5 times.
Detroit really did have a great punk scene growing up

Buffalo did too... All of the concerts had below 200 people at them, but we got some great acts. Black Flag, Circle Jerks, DRI, Suicidal Tendencies...

Once, there was a triple bill with Venom, Slayer, and Merciful Fate (for the speed-metal in me).

All of my music was on tapes too. Those cheap ones that were like 5 for a buck.

Riiiiight and they always had like different colored labels on them. I would know what bad was on what tape by the color of the tape.

The worst were the white taped with the red labels... I think they were made by Scotch...

And lasted maybe 25-30 plays before you had to tighten that middle screw to get them to play right again...

And those were the days... taking the tapes apart after they were "eaten" to splice it back together lol...

I love Bad Religion... I saw them two nights before I went into boot camp... lol

The Decendents were great, but I have always put them in a seperate group than "punk"... more like college-rock gone bad.

I loved GenX... Still waiting for that reunion :)

Speaking of... They played here at a local bar once and Bow Wow Wow opened up for them. I got to play a game of Space Invaders agaist the singer of Bow wow wow... She was so hot... I couldn't even speak lol

Gen X.. I just purchased a full anthology of their work. The CD's are great but they were stretching on the second cd and one of the songs has a blip sound in the middle of like..just like some songs you download..but the cd is put out by their old record label so I know it's not a boot leg.

hey, when are you make the DJ cd for me?

Do you use and Instant Messenger? and do you have a broadband connection? If so, I'll just send it to you... If not, give me your snail mail address and I'll put all 4 of the CDs (5 if I get ambitious)I have on a data disc and mail it to you.
