You're welcome! It's a delightful little story that I just had to share. :)

(I also love the pages of comments congratulating him and his school and denouncing Prop 8.)

I saw that too! It was pretty neat. We actually had a gay boy win for Prom Queen when I was a senior, but the administration disqualified him. I'm out in the boonies though. It's good to know that progress is coming to some parts of the country! (Slowly and painfully.)

That's awesome! My school was pretty progressive, but that never came up for some reason...

Oh, right, we didn't have prom royalty. Or homecoming royalty. Or any other thing where girls were crowned for being pretty and boys for having screwed them. Actually, we didn't have proms or homecoming dances - I thought those were just things in John Hughes movies. We did have a semi-formal and a formal, though. But still, no official queens, despite the awesome queenie boys that attended my school. ;D

Wow, that was a ramble...

It would be impossible to adequately express how much I love this story. Thank you for sharing it, baby.

He also promised that he would be wearing a suit on prom night, but "don't be fooled: Deep down, I am a queen."

And he made good of that promise Saturday, wearing a gray tuxedo topped off with the prized tiara.

So. Much. Love.
