You unwrapped me,
Removed drapes of reserve,
Shyness, anxiety, strangeness,
You were a stranger when you did it.
And I was
Enveloped in invisible things-
In honnor, and dignity,
My full name- no nicknames,
Don't get too close...
You tickled me untill it fell away,
That know-me-not feeling.
You whispered in my ear untill
I couldn't help but listen,
And your smile coaxed the last defenses
Off my shoulders.
You danced with me untill
Rythem melted into me,
Softened me,
And I laughed out loud.
So I stood before you,
Shivering, half-doubting, wishing-
BAre,without my
mind and my fears and my reserve,
And waited
And I, softened, open,
Laughed out loud untill
I was happy.
