Kaoss pads are SWEET. The only problem with effects is that you get way too tempted to totally overdo it with them whie DJing, and while they're fun to play with live, they don't neccessarily augment the impact of the song on an ongoing basis and usually just end up irritating people after awhile!

I love dialling the effects in occasionally on the Pioneer DJM600 mixer we have at Celebrities - zing!!!

TOTALLY! It's all about not overdoing it. There is something to be said for just letting the song be the song it was written as.
