high-definition television is still very much a moving target right now... be careful when buying! i keep getting tempted to buy a HD TV, mainly because I want to play XBox 360 in hi-def on the couch, but I'm waiting a bit longer for the standards to settle down a bit. I know people who bought TV's a year ago, and their set won't be compatible with the new HD-DVD and BluRay disc players that are coming out this year. Ugh, it's a mess.

yeah its all a bit too new for me still I'll wait till all the hype dies down, bugs are worked out, and prices are a bit more reasonable hehe. It is tempting though I know what ya mean. They do have beautiful pictures but my sony does have a pretty fuckin good picture for a non HD tv hehe :D
