Bush has made another ridiculous statement today in response to yesterdays Ninth District Court of Appeals decision (which states that the phrase "under God", as currently used in the Pledge of Allegiance, was unconstitutional).
He has been quoted saying that he didn’t agree with the decision, and that he believed we have received our rights (as a nation) FROM God. That our national rights, as we know them today, CAME from God! Um, first of all, who gives a shit WHAT he thinks??? Secondly, what an fucking arrogant son of bastard! Man is that man a close-minded idiot! I thought his father was bad!!! It's so hard for me to believe that a greater part of this country voted for this incoherent, mumbling moron. It really makes me not feel so bad when I say (which I typically do) that most people (in this country at least) are mindless automatons.
Furthermore, don’t people fucking realize that this decision is UPHOLDING the law of the nation??? The phrase wasn’t even put in the pledge until 1954!!! Separation of Church and State people!!! That means SEPARATE!!! Some people DON’T BELIEVE IN THE CONCEPT OF GOD!!! Why is this concept so hard for some people to understand? [oh yeah, that’s right, I forgot, the automatons…]. Why should we have such an erroneous concept continually shoved down our throats? Bush’s statements do not leave a lot of room for people in this country who believe other than his limited, closed-minded concepts.
Furthermore, apparently the same appellate judge that made the ruling in the first place has blocked his own decision today. I don't really have any more details other than that right now, but it does feel relatively spineless to me.
