The Mary Poppins Package

Aug 03, 2007 21:37

Since I don't have a working camera right now I'm going to have to try and do this amazing package justice. Wish me luck!

Inside I found:
- A really sweet note on a really cute pink, brown, green, yellow, etc card that reads: "I had a blast spoiling you! :) Your Secret Pal" and on the other side: "Shana, Hello there! Here's your final package! I hope you enjoy dry felting. :) And now you have a place for all your patterns. I wasn't able to finish all of your gifts so watch your mail next month." I think Im going to frame this note! It's so sweet.
- Hershey's All Natural Extra Dark Assortment pack of chocolates. How did my SP know that I LOVE dark chocolate?
- Fiber Trends Needle Felting Starter kit. I can't wait to try this out!
- Fiber Trends Colored Roving Variety Pack for Needle Felting. The fiber came in white, fucia, teal, dark brown, yellow, orange, red, and black. I'm so excited to try this.
- U.S. Size Five Takumi Bamboo Needles (Straight) - ROCK!
- Boye US Size 9, 29" Circular Needles - I hardly have any circs so this was a welcome surprise!
- 2 Skeins of Wildfoote Luxury Sock Yarn (75% Washable Wool/25% Nylon) in the Jungle colorway. I really like this color and actually I think these might be my first pair of "man socks." There are several guys in my life that I feel deserve some awesome socks.
- Four really cute decorative kitties with bells around their necks. They are yellow, red, green, and pink. I love them soooo much! I need to find a good place to display them.
- One Skien of Berroco Ultra Alpaca (50% Alpaca/50% Wool) in Color 6275. It's an olive green color that is slightly heathered. It's really beautiful.
- One Skien of Plymouth Yarn Encore Colorspun yarn (75% Acrylic/25% Wool) in Color 7131. Its mainly a medium red with several colors running through it. Very cute! :) It's got "I want to be a hat!" Written all over it!
- Vogue Knitting Socks Two on the Go! I love this book. :) It has the best socks for tiny people in it!
- Soy Beads Potpourri Melters from Beanpod Candles in Vanilla - these smell like heaven!
- TONS of candy! :)
- A gorgeous wooden incense holder
- Goloka Nag Champa Agarbathi incense. This stuff smells so good and the proceeds are given to charity. How awesome is that?
- A Binder with "Shana's Patterns" printed on the cover. It's so cute! And inside was a pattern for socks!!!!!
- A medium green crocheted (or knitted?) giant headband, which was so awesome because I happened to be wearing green pjs when I opened the package, so I immediately put it on and didn't take it off for hours. :) I love wearing bandannas and things especially before bed, how did she know that?
- A purple and blue crocheted headband which is striped and awesome.
- A crocheted navy blue, light blue, and grey purse - I love this purse so much that I wore I blue shirt today just so I could carry it around. It brought me inward joy. :)
When I opened this package I couldn't believe how many things were inside!!! And when I saw all the things she made for me I cried. I've only ever had two people hand make something for me in my whole life. A crocheted blanket from my mom and a quilt from my great grandmother. I think of all those things the hand made gifts mean the most. Secret Pal, I don't know how you did it, but you're amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better secret pal and I promise that once I can get my hands on a camera I will take pictures of all these amazing things. Oh! And Secret Pal, thank you! I just wanted to let you know that besides dry felting, I'm going to try my hand at crochet because of you! :) Thanks again!
