I have the best boyfriend ever, and other knitting related news.

My boyfriend has been really supportive of my craft and got really excited when he saw me looking at plans to make a yarn swift from PVC pipe. After a quick glance over my shoulder, he was gone! One hour later he returned with a van full of PVC pipe, connectors, etc. He got so excited he skipped off to the garage and started building. It's almost done and it looks really good. :)

Not too long after he started my yarn swift, he went with me to the LYS because I was feeling kind of down and fondling pretty wool usually raises my spirits. Well, I guess he was feeling pretty generous because he bought me one skein of Lorna's Laces Swirl Chunky in the Black Purl color way and three skeins of Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo in the Little Lilac color way. I plan to make a scarf for my Grandma out of it.

I bought a few things for myself as well, but I didn't get any yarn. I bought myself some tools, including a few things that have come up missing since my move in June. I bought:
- Size 7 and Size 8 Takumi bamboo straight needles
- Set of three stitch holders (Sm, M, & L)
- Tape Measure (does anyone else lose these all the time?)
- Set of two cable needles
- Set of 7 Sewing Needles (these go missing a lot too)

I also bought some dark chocolate colored fabric and a handle for my Aunt's purse. Which means that I can finish her bag this week and move on to some other projects. I've been so preoccupied with all the crazy things going on in my life that I've been working on one project for a little while, then starting a new one and I just feel like I have knitting ADHD and I can't complete a damn thing. Blah.

In other fiber news, I am going to talk to my local Dept of Agriculture to find out what it would take to start a farm with Alpaca and possibly sheep. (I <3 you sheep!) I am specifically looking to see if there are any government grants for starting a farm, even though mine would be a for-profit farm (meaning I'd be making my living off this farm). I'm hoping that the Dept. of Agriculture will be able to point me in the right direction, even if they can't help.

Not much else is going on here just knit, knit, knitting away!
