What do you see outside your window?

I wish I could take a picture of what's outside my window, but since I can't I'll describe it for you:

Directly in front of my window is the "lawn" of the business where I work, some of the grass has turned brown despite all the rain we've had lately; or perhaps because of it. Beyond that is the cool gray parking ( Read more... )

Outside of my living room window (which is where I'm sitting just now), there's a neo-classical building with an ornately carved front that is best appreciated from up here at second floor level. It has the words "Town Hall" and the architect's name engraved above the top storey, although these days it's a police station. There's a street sign bolted on to one corner, stating that the building is located in Queen Charlotte Street, which kind of suits it.

My bedroom window has the less salubrious view of the cobbled lane where our front door is, the backs of a couple of other buildings, and the yard behind the motorbike shop where they do repairs. The redeeming feature is a wall covered with climbing ivy.

Outside this window is a bush which really should be trimmed. Beyond that is my neighbor's house, orange brick and white, but you can't see much of that for the bush. There's a tree a little ways beyond that, and then nothing but clear blue sky...
