[In the forested area just outside the city, Mamoru has his Meowth and Ivysaur sparring each other. Ivysaur's higher stats give him the advantage, but Meowth's speed is making it difficult to land a hit.
It's only a matter of time, however, before a vine whip finds its mark and Meowth sails backwards and to the ground with a crash.]

[No sooner have those words left Mamoru's mouth that the Ivysaur begins to glow. Its silhouette becomes larger. And larger. And larger. Mamoru takes a step back, eyes wide at the now humongous Pokémon before him, a fully blossomed plant atop its back.]
