in which Nick watches Movies: Avatar

Saw it in 3D, but not IMAX.

Things I Liked:
- It was better than I expected. I expected utter crap, though, so that's not surprising.
- The water effects were surprisingly good.
- The 3D was pretty tasty.
- The CGI used on his legs when he was human was fantastic - they looked honest-to-good atrophied.
- It was fun?

I caught it in matinee. It was very, very pretty, and it was fun seeing the ewoks take on the storm troopers, but I agree: it's not an instant classic and I won't be rushing out to get it on video. I might get it through Netflix in a couple years.
